Quick OOTD...

Helloooo everyone!! I thought I would do a quick 'outfit of the day' post as my most popular post was all about my 3 top Spring/Summer outfits so here is a fourth one for you!

Also, I have recently sorted out my blog by changing the logo, colours, layout and links etc to make it more exciting so I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below and maybe some suggestions? Oh! And I have done lots of posts on Beauty and Fashion but none so far on Lifestyle so please share your suggestions below. I was thinking of doing something food related or maybe pictures from a day out? I dunno, help!

So, I am wearing a black Topshop vest (which has been featured before) which was around £6. Its quite loose and 'flowy' and its also cropped but because the shorts are very high wasted, I can tuck it in as its not too short. I think basic vest tops like this are essential, I can wear them with so many outfits and because I have it in black and white, it goes with everything.

Also from Topshop, I am wearing these high wasted, dark grey colored, denim shorts over black tights. I like these because they feel really good quality and they just look really cute. The only thing that I would change is the price as I think they were around £30-£40 which is A LOT for shorts but I know they will last a long time so I would rather spend a lot of money on a good quality pair of shorts then spending much more on ones that break all the time.

Lastly, I have put on a silver triangular necklace which really compliments the outfit as it brings the grey out from the shorts. Unfortunately, I don't know where this is from as my friend brought it for me from America but there are so many similar alternatives from places like Accessorize, Primark and New Look if you're interested. I am also wearing a pair of black Puma trainers with white along the sides.

I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post! Bye!

Charity Shop Clothing Haul...

Hellooo! Today I went to some charity shops in Brighton and found lots of really nice clothes which were really cheap and I thought I would share them with you.

Charity shops are a really good alternative if you don't have a lot of money for high end shops and you find a lot of stuff which is interesting and unique, which you wouldn't find in 'normal' shops. Also, buying things from charity stores is good because your helping lots of causes to raise money.

Okay, so the first thing I got was this lilac-pink pleated skirt which comes just below the knee. Like I have mentioned in my previous blog posts, lilac colours and pleats are really in fashion this Summer and also long skirts seem to be very popular at the moment.
I got this dress for £1.50 which is a bargain considering how nice it is! It really reminds me of the tennis skirts in American Apparel which I am in love with.
The only thing I would maybe want to change about it is the length. Just because long skirts give the appearance of longer legs and my legs are already quite long compared to the rest of my body. It was really cheap so I don't mind spending money on getting it tailored to be shorter.
I would wear this with a white vest tucked in or a white crop top and some black jelly shoes.

The next item I got is this cute little white top which has buttons through the middle for the same price (£1.50).
I really like it because again, white colours are popular this summer and I just liked the unique shape. I would probably have to wear a white vest under this as it was a bit too big and baggy but I just think the shape is so cute.
I also picked out this sweet blue patterned mini skirt because I have seen a few like this in Urban Outfitters and this is a very similar alternative if you find the clothes in Urban Outfitters a bit pricey. This was £3.99 and I think it would look cute with the white top tucked in and I could wear it with my white converse.

The next item I found is this patterned pastel vest top which was originally from Dorothy Perkins and I got it for £1.99.

Again, the thing that appealed the most to me was the pastel colours and I just need some more vest tops for the Summer.

I wasn't sure about this at first as I felt the pattern was a bit controversial and 'crazy' for me but I need to get out of the habit of wearing black and white tops and for the price, I just thought why not?

I would probably wear this with my light blue Topshop denim shorts (which have appeared in my other posts) and some trainers or sandals.

Moving onto my Denim items! I didn't actually get these on the same day as everything else but I got them recently from various charity shops so I thought I might as well show them to you. I first got this over sized dark blue denim jacket for £3 which is such a good price! I got it because I just needed a denim jacket to throw over my outfits in the summer when it gets a bit colder and this one just looks really retro and good quality. It reminds me of the ones from To Be Worn Again but it was probably a lot cheaper.
I also got this tight mini skirt which has a denim-look but is actually some kind of thin material like cotton or something. It was £3 and is originally from Top Shop. I thought it was really sweet and I would wear this with a black vest and black tights (if needed) and probably a comfy pair of trainers.

Next I got this floral top which is also originally from Topshop. It is in the shape of a swimming costume but you would hide the bottom half with a pair of shorts or a skirt. This was 50p which is amazing considering it is in really good condition and it was probably originally around £15-£20. I like it because of the floral summery pattern and I think it would go really well with denim shorts.

The next thing I brought was these little leopard print shorts for £1.99. I love these so much because I just think they would look really cute and sophisticated with a black vest, black tights and heels with red lips for an evening out. They are stretchy at the top so they are nice and comfortable and they feel like good quality material.

Then (I know I got so much) I picked up this light weight, knitted jumper for £1.99 which was originally from Forever 21.

This is one of my favorite items from the haul because I love the dark and light contrast of the blues and its perfect to throw on in the Summer time without getting too hot. I also think the tiny pocket is so cute and I just really love it (yay!).

I think the price of this is really good as it looks such good quality and quite new-ish and I just needed a jumper like this.
I would probably wear this over an outfit involving a vest tucked into denim shorts as I think it would look really nice with the denim. I would also wear a big chunky necklace over this as I think it would go really nicely with it.

Ending with accessories, I got these huge bug-eye sunglasses for £3. I really wanted a pair like this because I saw one of my faveourite You Tubers (Naomi Smart) wearing a pair similar to this from River Island and again, this is a cheaper alternative.

I think the sunglasses look really interesting because of the big round circular part is just really different and unique.

Lastly, I know it's summer but I picked up this blue and purple scarf for 50p because the colours are really nice and it was ultra soft. It also reminded me of the ones from Urban Outfitters but is so much cheaper but very similar quality and style. it's quite wide so fit got a bit chilly at a Summer BBQ or something I could just throw this around my shoulders so I suppose it can be used for Summer too.

Thank you for reading my blog post! I hope you get some inspiration to look in some Charity Shops this Summer as there are plenty of cheaper alternatives for high end fashion styles and it is also going to a good cause. If you have any questions then please feel free to comment below, bye!

Lips Lips Lips...

Helloooo! Today I thought I would do a post about my faveourite lip products! I've been reading a lot in magazines recently that bright colours are popular this Summer, so I thought I would share my own products with you.

Before I go straight in with colour, I wanted to write about a product called "sweet lips" from Lush which is a lip scrub that contains actual sugar grains. It smells really sweet and is good for clearing away dead skin to make your lips ultra soft. I use this as a pre-lip product so that my lips are sweet and soft, ready for a layer of lip balm or colour.

For my next layer to keep my lips really soft, I will use a lip balm. One of my faveourite lip balms are from the "Born Lippy" collection from The Body Shop and the one I like the best (which I can't find the name of) is the orange, slightly glittery one because I just really like the fruity smell of it.

I have several others of the collection which I got for Christmas and so far, I love them all. If you are going for a really clear, natural look, then use the lightest pinky colour (its the thrid one along in the picture) as its almost completely colourless and doesn't have too much sparkle or shine.

Another product for the second layer has to be The Body Shop's 'roll on' in a cocunut flavour. I strongly recommend this for dry lips but as it is quite watery, I don't recommend going over this with colour as it might not stay very well. However, if you want a really natural, dry free and colourless look, then this is a good product to consider.

Now for the third option of colour! One of my top brands for lipstick is Topshop. I like them because (as you probably guessed from the post so far), I get really dry lips and these lipsticks are really summery, vibrant and bright but also are very wet and moisturizing. They also stay on for a long time too and I don't really find myself topping it up in the day too much.

I got mine in the shade "beguiled" which is a nice, purple, bright colour. If you wear one layer of it with a lip balm then it comes across light and Summery but if you wear a few, generous layers of it, it will become darker and more suited for winter. So it works for both Summer and winter.

My next top summer colours are from Max Factor and they have to be my faveourite from  this whole post. I like them because they are really vinrant, they have there own individul smells, they are moisturizing (like the Topshop ones), and even though this has nothing to do with the actual lipstick, I just really like the packaging (haha!)

I got two, one in a colour called "ruby Tuesday" and one in "pink brandy". I briefly showed "pink brandy" on the side bar of my home page but I was just writing about how its nice and summery, while the other one is more brighter. There just both really lovely quality lipsticks.

This picture is showing "ruby red" again by Max Factor next to a bright red gloss from Revlon. I think these two colours go really well together for a glossy, bold, deep red colour. This picture is also showing a peep from a page in the newest issue of Glamour Magazine, just as little inspiration for the bright and bold reds and pinks which are in fashion this Summer.
In the first picture below, it shows just the Revlon gloss by itself which creates a nice pinky shimmer. Then in the second picture, it shows the combination of the two products together. Although in this picture it looks really pink, it actually looks like a really bold red, I think it was just the lighting or effect which made it look really pink.

Thank you for reading this blog post. I hope you have some inspiration of lip products for the Summer. If you have any requests for my next blog post or any questions about this one then please leave any comments below. Byeee!

My 3 favourite Spring/Summer Outfits and Accessories!

Hello everyone! For my second post I thought I could show you my 3 favourite outfits and matching accessories for summer. I recently went shopping to H&M and picked up a bright black and yellow, floral sunflower skirt for around £7. I thought it would be great for me to wear as I always seem to wear monochrome colours (blacks and whites) and this skirt is nice and bright for summer.

I also thought the pleats in it were really cute and they seem to be very popular at the moment in spring/summer fashion. I also picked up a black, heavy vest whilst in H&M to 'calm down' the brightness of the skirt and match the black of the sunflower pattern. This skirt can also be worn with retro sunglasses (I got mine in Brighton lanes) and if its a bit colder maybe black or skin-coloured tights.

For my second Spring/Summer outfit, staying with the H&M theme, I picked up a white version of the heavy vest in the first picture which was around £6. I also picked up a bronze-coloured triangular necklace on a silver chain for around £6. I just felt it was really cute and really complimented the rest of the outfit. Moving onto Topshop, I picked up a pair of denim,  MOTO high-waisted  shorts in light blue. I just thought they were really essential for the hot weather as they go with anything and they are really comfortable. You could wear them bare legged or with tights and a pair of trainers or summery sandals.

Again, from Topshop I picked up these cute little rings which have blue, purple and white stones inside a silver outside which look like pretty crystals. I just got them because I don't have many rings and I think the colours would look really nice with a simple outfit (like the last one I wrote about) to brighten it up and make it a bit more unique-looking.

For my last top Spring/Summer outfit, I bought this really sweet pleated tartan skirt from one of my faveourite shops in Brighton lanes called "beyond Retro". Its a little darker then my first two outfits and you could argue it looks a little 'Christmasy' for Summer, but I think it could be really ideal for a colder Summer's day with black tights and maybe a black cardigan to cover your shoulders. In this picture, you can see I would wear it with the black vest again and another pair of retro glasses which I picked up in the lanes. I just really like this unique outfit as its different and really practical for any time of year as it could also be worn in winter with woolly tights and cute little boots.

Now for accessories! Starting with shoes, I brought a pair of all-white converse for the hot weather. Bright white and pastel colours are really in fashion this Summer and I just think a good quality pair of trainers are really ideal to wear with any outfit (like the second outfit I mentioned). Also, living in Brighton means that trainers are useful for the beach as it makes it easier to walk across the beach (its covered in pebbles) without being in pain. As always, converse are always really comfortable to wear so you can't go wrong. My next pair of shoes are black, plastic jelly shoes from ALDO. I mentioned these on the side bar of my home page but like I said, they are affordable, comfortable and practical for hot weather. I also said you can wear them with thrilly Topshop socks and bare legs or a pair of tights under shorts, or both!
Lastly, like I said before, pastel colours are really in fashion so I brought a lilac-coloured Essie nail polish which is really cute and a tiny friendship bracelet from Urban Outfitters which was actually really good priced and it was on sale. I got this because I just thought the tribal-like colours were really pretty for a 'beachy look'.

Thank you much for reading this post, I really hope it gives you inspiration for Spring and Summer outfits. If you have any questions or even tips or outfit ideas you want to share then feel free to leave a comment. Byeee!

Review: No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation and Concealer…

Hellooo! As my first ever blog post I had to write about No7’s Beautifully Matte Foundation and matching concealer in the shade ‘calico’ (-the lightest shade…come on sun!).

I was previously using a foundation that was super thick and made my skin feel really dry. I was also applying at least 3 coats and it wasn’t covering anything up, it just made me look really caked in something that wasn’t really doing anything for me. All these reasons put me off using it and I felt I needed to treat myself with a really good quality foundation.

So, I nipped into boots and stumbled across the No7 stand, where my skin tone was picked up by a unique device. I had some of the concealer applied first on my spots (which made a HUGE difference, just with the tiniest bit!) and then I had ‘beautifully matte foundation’ applied over the top. My skin looked really healthy and flawless but also looked like I wasn’t even wearing too much, I was really happy with how it looked. It was also a lot cheaper then I intended which made me super happy.

I hope you liked my first blog post and I definitely recommend these two products together for a light weight, covered up look. Thank you for reading! Please feel free to leave comments if you have any questions!
