Tea at a Cafe and Going on an adventure...

Hey guys!

Haven't blogged in a while, sorry! I have been really busy with exams but now they're all over I have decided to upload a 'normal/main channel' video on Tuesdays and either a vlog or a blog post on fridays as you may already know.

Also, my fan Nathan made me a new channel and blog cover which I love so much so thank you!

Me and my friend Emily recently went to a cafe and went on a little adventure afterwards to a local forest and I had my camera on me so we took photos. I wasn't originally intending to create a blog post but we took some cute photos and I thought I'd share them with you. So here they are, enjoy!

Me drinking some tea.

This is the dog I look after sometimes, he's called Nik Nak.

My beautiful best friend, Emily.

Tea.

We went crazy after the chocolate brownies (as always) and started pulling funny faces. I would have uploaded some of me but I looked like a serial killer and my blog is too pretty for that kind of crazy.

That 'give me some bacon' face.

We found some stuff. Unfortunately for emily, we didn't find any bones (watch my vlog if you have no idea what I'm talking about).

Looking at one with nature..then the reality of getting off a tree.

There was loads of abandoned car and bike bodies in this forest so I took some photos for photography. Here is one of them.

So theres some photos of my little adventure with Emily. If you liked this blog post please follow me on Bloglovin' and all my other social media (top right hand side bar has all the links). Also share this and give it a +1 if you enjoyed it.

See you soon,

March Faves: Fashion, Skincare, Hair, Makeup + Random Favourites...

Hello Everyone!

I have been doing a lot go 'girly' videos on my You Tube channel lately so I decided to break it up a bit and do this as a blog post instead (if you're wondering, I will probably be uploading a vlog next week).  Also I don't find monthly favourites really interesting to watch but I like reading about them so I thought I would write it up instead with some pretty pictures.

Also, I decided to change up the font for this post so let me know if you prefer this one to my usual font. I think it looks very journalistic.

ANYWAY here are some things I have been loving in the month of March, enjoy!

Fashion Faves...

Over March, I have non-stop been wearing turtle necks. If you watched my last vlog, you will see that I wore a turtle neck top almost every day of the week. I have 3 tops (the black one is in the wash; the top one is a dark grey textured cotton turtle neck from New Look which was around £12 and I like wearing this with my new black skinny ripped jeans. The other light grey top is from Urban Outfitters which is also textured (which seems to be very fashionable at the moment)and its more of a high collar/half turtle neck the top which I think looks really cute.

I have also been wearing all my turtle necks with these two crystal necklaces which I got on eBay for a margin of around £2 which is amazing considering that the other ones I looked at online ranged between £15-£30. I just think they really compliment the turtle neck style and they add a bit of colour to the grey and black of the tops. I love them so much and I really want to order more colours! They had some nice transparent ones too.

My last fashion favourite of the month are these rings from Morocco which go with my crystal necklaces because of the light pink and dark purple colours. I love them so much and I have been wearing them nearly every single day because I think they look super pretty and it reminds me of my holiday. Also the pink one looks like that pandora style with the 'bobbled' edge but it was so much cheaper. I think I got it on the market for about £7 euros which is roughly £5.

Makeup Faves…

So my two first makeup favourites from March are both from Soap & Glory. The first one is the Archery Brow Pencil. One end of this pencil is a crayon which I draw the bottom frame in with and then I use the felt tip end to lightly draw in the hairs and fill in any sparse areas. I just find this more natural looking and quick  in the morning then powder and I find the felt tip a lot easier and more suttle.

The other product from Soap & Glory is the SuperCat Eyeliner which is also in a felt tip style and it very thin which I find easier to apply and build up the layers with. This is very similar to the Stilla eye liner but I couldn't find it in store so I got this one instead because its the same kind of application rather than dipping this in a pot with a stick, which I find tricky and slow to do. I have been wearing these products nearly every day of March for college and I really recommend them if you need a less time consuming product in the morning.

I think this might have been in some kind of favourites type blog post before but I repurchased the Lasting Perfection Concealer by Collection at the start of March and again, this has been a part of my daily routine all through the month. I would say this isn't the best for under eyes but AMAZING for spots coverage. Just a tiny bit seems to have such great coverage and it literally looks like I have no spots. I know every single blogger talks about this so I won't say anymore (apart form the fact it is better than any high end product I've used and its a margin at £4 too! I will definitely be repurchasing this next month!).

My last makeup favourite is from Natural Collection and its the Clear Mascara. However, I haven't been using this as mascara, I've been using it to hold my brows in place once after I apply my brow pencil. I got this because I watched Becca Rose's video and she said it's really good for brows that don't stay in place or what I like to call 'tired' brows. So I decided to get it and it was only £1.99 which is such a good price and it really does the job.

(If you noticed all my makeup faves are drugstore products so they are all really affordable).

Hair Faves...

I'm the new Ice Queen okay.

Okay so my first hair favourite of the month is the Total Bleach and White Toner by Bleach London

Before I discovered this brand, I used to constantly try to active platinum blonde hair at home and I used to always be really upset and disappointed that I had wasted loads of effort, time and money on dye/bleach that either didn't work or made it go yellow toned. After giving up I decided to get my hair dresser to bleach my hair which looked nice..but it just wasn't as bright as I had hoped and it costs so much money every single month to get my re-growth done. Also I realised it would look good but after a week it would fade.

Anyway, before my holiday I didn't have enough money to get my roots done so I did a bit of research online and everyone was raving about a new-ish brand called Bleach London. As you may have seen from my How To video with Emily, we tried it out and my hair went super bright platinum white without any yellow/brassy tones. I am so happy and relived that I have finally found a strong enough bleach that works for me at such a good price of £7 per box. The white toner also lasts ages and the Reincarnation Hair Masque (my second hair favourite) that comes in every box makes your hair feel like silk and really repairs any damage from the bleach. As I brought two boxes of toner (my hair is thick) and 1 box of bleach I have 3 tubes of hair masques and I only had to use half of one through my root covering process recently.

I am SO happy with this brand and I will never go to the hairdresser again to get my roots done again. I was constantly given false promises that my hair couldn't go blonder or brighter than how it was when they did it because my natural dark blonde hair colour is so super strong and doesn't take colour well but I proved them wrong and I finally found a bleach that works for me!

My last hair favourite of the month is the 'Touch of Silver shampoo & Conditioner by Provoke'. Let me start of by saying these are the cheapest purple shampoo/conditioners I have ever brought but the most effective. If you didn't know, purple shampoo if for bleached or dyed artificial blondes (this will not work on natural blondes) so that the blonde doesn't go yellow/brassy toned. This is so good because it makes your hair feel like silk, it keeps my colour super bright and blonde and it also smells really nice too. I really recommend you get them if you have blonde bleached/dyed hair as they are so effective but low budget (I think they are £2-3 per bottle!).

Skin Care/Beauty Faves…

My first skincare favourite of the month is the Vitamin E Intense Moisture cream from The Body Shop. Me and my mum went shopping at the start of March to Portsmouth where they have a really good shopping centre outlet and I needed some new face moisturiser. So we decided to look in The Body Shop and I told the woman I had really dry but spot-prone skin and she said that sometimes the reason you get 'bumpy' looking skin is because it is too dry so it's almost like a reaction to the skin being to dehydrated. I think the science behind it is that your dry skin produces more oil to hydrate itself but the oil actually clogs up your pores and causes bumps and spots. So anyway, I tried some on my hand and it felt so creamy and thick and hydrating so I decided to get it. It also doesn't have SPF which is good because I can wear it at night too (and my foundation has SPF so I prefer not to have it in my moisturiser).

It was also pretty good priced, I think maybe £8-9 and they had a deal on where if you get three things the cheapest one is free so I also got the matching Vitamin E Eye Cream which I have also been loving this month and Iv'e noticed such a difference when applying my concealer that it doesn't crease as much under the eyes and they just feel more awake and less dry. I also got 10% off because I have a Body Shop card and another 10% for student discount so all this stuff and the third thing which I will mention in a minute came to £15 which is great for all that stuff.

So while I am talking about The Body Shop, I may swell mention my third purchase. I read a magazine the other day and it had an article about small things which are scientifically proven to make you more happy and one of them was having a citrus/fresh/tropical body wash makes you happier because your brain likes the smell of it in the morning or something like that. So as I needed a third purchase for my 3 for 2 deal, I decided to get the Satsuma Body Wash. All I'm going to say i the article must be true because it makes me so happy and it really wakes me up in the morning and I can smell it on myself all day. Also you only need a tiny bit and it foams up a lot. It's also quite a big bottle so it will probably last me a long time and by itself without any deals or anything its only £4 which I think is really good seeing as a little bit goes along way.

My last two favourites are the Simple Facial Toner and The Tea Tree Face Wash by SuperDrug.

Starting with the toner, I ran out of my last one which I honestly can't remember what it was but I don't think it made a difference and I was in Sainsbury's where they have quite a big Simple section and this was only £3 so I thought I would give it a try and I am so happy I decided to get this! If you are someone who has really sensitive, dry skin and your face feels all tired in the morning before school/college (that sounds really weird but you know what I mean)then I really recommend this because it feels so cold but SO refreshing on the skin and it really helps to wake you up in the morning. It also makes you feel really fresh and ready for the day.

My last skincare favourite I found when I was having a major break out so I wanted something with tea tree as it acts like an anti bacterial and this one was really cheap so I thought I'd give it a go as I love finding skincare bargins (theres not that many. `for the first few days my skin exploded with spots and it kind of got worse but I thought I would stick with it for a bit..honestly because I couldn't be bothered to go out and buy a new one and after like a week my skin was almost completely clear. I think it's because it works like a face mask. Your skin alway gets worse after a face mask because it gets everything out buried deep within the pores and brings it to the surface and because this is really exfoliating it did the same kind of thing, so it got everything up. But after a week, my skin looked so clear and I really recommend it or at least any face way with tea tree in!

I put these two together because they both really wake you up in the morning and make you feel fresh and wide awake.

Random Fave…

I must seem so boring saying this but I literally have one random favourite of the month which is the brand new series of Catfish on MTV. If you didn't know, it's a show about people who fall in love online and they future out who it really is and like 90% of the time its not the real person. I just think its really interesting to watch and understand the sicology behind it and why they did it, especially now days when everything is online and its so easy to steal someones pictures from Instagram and pretend you are that person. Also this series, Tyler Okley was on it who is a YouTuber so whoo team internet!

-------

Thank you so much for reading! I hope this was helpful and maybe you got some good ideas of things you could buy to suit you! Sorry if this was loads of writing but I haven't written a long blog post in ages and I didn't upload a video this week so I felt this one should have more detail. The Me Time Tag!

Hey Everyone!

So my friend Anna from YouTube (aka Anna Banana) tagged me to do the 'Me Time Tag'. I haven't blogged in a while so I decided I would do this as a blog post rather then in video-form. I will try not make this too 'rambly' because I want this to be more simple and more about the pretty photos. So hope you enjoy it!

1) What do you like to read or watch during me time?

I don't enjoy to read books much. I know thats a bit strange but people usually read to relax but I'm not the best reader and it stresses me out and I find it more like studying so I just keep a load of magazines and some doodling books next to my bed which I can flick through and just look at pictures or do some drawings or write some ideas down. I also watch a lot of YouTube videos on my mac book because theres something for everyone and I like getting inspiration from other people online.

2) What do you like to wear during me time?

Always my PJ's, particularly my leopard print onsie because it feels like silk and some fluffy socks are nice too. If I could, I would live in my onsie, I actually find it really un-comfy to wear normal clothes haha.

3) What are your favourite me-time beauty products?

I love having baths and using Lush products. Here are two that I have at the moment. I try and break them up so I can spread out my baths and it makes them last longer.

4) What nail polish do you like to use?

Usually I will just grab what ever my eyes lay on inside my huge nail varnish box but I am really loving Tanya Burr nail varnish at the moment and she is someone I look up to so I feel really proud for her when I use her products which makes me happy.

5) What's your favourite thing to eat/drink during me-time?

Most people would say unhealthy food like pizza and stuff and I do love pizza but I also like eating healthy because it makes me feel better and happier. I'll usually go for a nice soothing cuppa with a nice bowl of granola (which is actually quite sugary anyway) with some raspberries or blueberries on top.

6) What's your favourite candle to light during me-time?

I am a huge candle junkie but unfortunately I have just run out of candles and tea lights so here are some photos of my current favourite candle holders. The white one was in the sale in the garden centre for £1 a few months back and the other two I got on holiday in Morocco. Although these are not scented, I just think they look pretty anyway and take me back to my holiday which was really relaxing.

7) Do you ever have outdoor me-time?

Yes! There is a big field and a forest near by which I sometimes like to get fresh air in and chill. We also look after a dog sometimes and its so nice to get away from all the stress of life and take him on a walk. However it is quite cold here in Brighton at the moment so I also nip out in the garden and drink my tea out there sometimes too. And of coarse I take walks down Brighton Beach but usually I will go to take photos for photography so its not just for me-time.

8) Would you ever go to the cinema to watch a film alone?

I don't think so because I see going to the cinema as an activity with friends to do and also when I'm having me-time I like to be with myself and at the cinema you are sitting next to lots of strangers so you're not going to always be 100% in your own comfort zone. I'd rather snuggle in bed and watch a movie on Netflix thanks!

9) Favourite online shop?

At the moment, I love taking a break and looking through the MissGuided website. This isn't sponsored, I just really like their things.

10) Anything else to add? What else do you do during me-time?

I really like to tone/bleach my roots which some people find a chore but I enjoy starting a fresh and covering up my roots and feeling all new, bit random but I just really enjoy it haha!

I hope you enjoyed this blog post! Thanks again Anna for tagging me! Make sure to follow all my social media, the links are in the top right bar and if you enjoyed this give it a share and a +1!

Bye!

Chatty Make Up Haul...

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year!

Yesterday, I tried filming a Makeup Haul for my YouTube channel but I didn't feel in the mood and I didn't feel like filming a video as I felt a bit ill and not really myself. And after filming, I realised that kind of showed through in the video. So i've decided not to upload it. Quite a few of you may think this was a waste of time, filming and editing a video over a whole Saturday and not doing anything with it. However, I realised that the reason I started Youtube was to upload videos that I enjoyed making and editing and uploading them when I want and when it feels comfortable to because its my channel and I shouldn't feel pressured to upload every week, even if I'm not in the mood.

So, I decided to talk about the things I have been buying in the sales or that I got in my Christmas stocking on my blog instead, where I feel a little more comfortable. I also haven't blogged in a while and I forgot how it made me happy when I felt a bit down to talk about things I love to people all over the world. So here it goes, I hope you enjoy it!

Naked 3 Palette by Urban Decay...

I got the Naked 3 Palette by Urban Decay in my stocking this year and I couldn't believe how generous 'santa' (a.k.a mum) was because I know this is a megga expensive palette. Since it came out, I've really wanted the third eyeshadow palette from the collection. I also really liked the look of Naked 2, which is made up of more brown and gold colours, but I felt this one suited me more as I'm quite fair and its made up of more pinky colours.

Since I have got it, I have used it probably every single day. Apart from the eyeshadows, the packaging is gorgeous and I still haven't chucked away the cardboard box because its so pretty. Also the mirror on it is really good and you can see every tiny detail.

On a typical day, I have used "Strange" the most to highlight my brow bone and put all over my eye lid and inner corners and I have also used "Nooner" a lot in my crease because together, it looks very natural but creates a simple and easy defined eye. I have also used "Factory" and "Mugshot" into the crease and along my lash line on a few night-time events like on New Years.

Like I said, I know this is very expensive but you really do get what you pay for and all the shades are so pigmented and long-lasting.

Lasting Perfection Concealer by Collection...

You have probably herd about this millions of times from other Bloggers and Youtubers but I can honestly say the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer is the best concealer I have ever used...ever. Everyone has been raving about this and Ive been meaning to try it out for AGES but because of its popularity, every time I go to he drugstore, my shade is never in there because it seems when it is in stock, everyone grabs it while they have the chance.

When I was shopping in the Christmas sales, I saw a whole bunch of them in the shade Fair (the lightest shade) so I decided to finally buy one and try it out and oh my goodness, its SO good! It covers blemishes really well to the point where it looks like I don't have any spots on my face.

Brow Palette by HD Brows...

For Christmas, I got the HD Brows Palette from my mum. There are quite a few different shades of there which ranges from light brown/dark blonde to dark brown/black which makes it multi-purposeful as I could use it for my eyes too. If you've seen my latest video ("How I Do My Eyebrows), you will know that I used this palette and I think it just shapes my brows so well.

The shades and even the brush are super friendly to the skin because they're just made out of minerals so it won't clog up my skin and I've noticed I haven't got spots around my eyebrows since using it. Before I was using a Wet and Wild brow kit and the powder was quite thick and used to clog up my pores which resulted in me getting a lot of spots and blackheads on my face so I'm super happy I have a better and more skin-healthy routine for my brows now.

Topshop "Wake Up" Eye Pencil...

Just before Christmas, I felt I needed something to put in my inner corners to brighten up my eyes and give the illusion they looked bigger. In Brighton, we have just got a new Topshop which is so much bigger then the last one and I thought I would look at there make up range because all their things ar usually good quality but also the Topshop packaging is so cute.

I found this "wake up" eye pencil which has a white side and a champagne sort of colour on the other side which was around £6. I use the white in my inner corners and dab it with my finger so its not too over the top and I have been using the other colour in my bottom lash line and I think it looks really good. I also get sensitive eyes and this product hash't upset my eyes at all.

Also, the champagne colour really reminds me on the nix (I think thats how you spell it??) jumbo eye pencil so if you can't find one of them, this is a good alternative.

Real Techniques Brushes...

Over Christmas, I also got both packs of Real Techniques brushes. I got the purple ones which are for eyes and the orange ones which are for your face. I did already have a few eye ones and the expert face brush but now I have everything I need to do my makeup with which has made my makeup routine a lot more simple and easier. I've spoken about these brushes a lot before but I think they're just as good as the Mac ones but about 3X cheaper. Also, they are super soft so it makes putting makeup on more enjoyable.

"Wake Me Up' Concealer by Rimmel...

After watching Zoella's '2014 beauty favourites', I went out to buy the Rimmel "Wake Me Up'' concealer along with the Collection one because she said they were both really good and I trust her opinion as we have a similar skin type.

Although I have been using my collection one a lot more, the ''Wake Me Up'' is great too for under the eyes as it reflects the light and makes them look more brighter and I get big dark circles under my eyes. However, although this concealer is really good for under the eyes, it is slightly too dark for me. The "Wake Me Up" foundation by Rimmel starts at 'Light Porcelin' as being the lightest shade which is perfect for me but for some reason Rimmel decided to start there concealer shades at 'Ivory' which is like 2 or 3 shades higher then Light Porcelin which just doesn't suit me and just darkens the eyes. So overall, the Wake Me Up concealer is really good but its just the wrong shade (I'm keeping it though as it will probably suit me in Summer).

"They're Real" Mascara by Benefit...

So I got a £20 Boots voucher for Christmas (Boots is a drugstore for anyone who isn't English) so I went to the big one in Brighton which has a Benefit stand it. Okay I know your thinking Benefit is really expensive and I hate spending loads of money on make but in a way I didn't pay for this because I got a voucher so basically my family did in a way.

Anyway, I have herd really good things about this mascara and it looks so good in You Tube makeup tutorials so I thought I would try it out. I get the problem where my lashes are quite long so they get stuck together and honestly, I spend about 10-15 minutes just on my mascara because I spend so long combing through with a dry brush to separate out all the lashes that have a mind of there own and get stuck together.

I was told this mascara had 200 bristles on the brush which is great for separation. I got back and tried it the next day and I'm not even exaggerating, I was 15 minutes early to my lesson just from this mascara. I literally did one quick brush stroke and it looked like I had applied at least 2 layers and it serrated them all out so I didn't need to go through with a dry brush or anything which is great. So this is definitely a time saver, I also didn't make as much of a mascara mess around my eyes which I usually spend ages rubbing at with a cotton bud to get off, I think its because this brush is nice and thin but my previous one was really fat and it just made such a mess.

Liquid Eyeliner by The Body Shop...

Okay so the last thing I got (I know Ive written loads but this is it I promise) is this simple liquid eyeliner in black from The Body Shop. I went in there to get my friend Lily the BB cream and a lipstick for her birthday and it was 3 for 2 so I just iced this up because I didn't have to pay any extra and I needed a new one.

Theres not much to say about this apart from that its very thick and pigmented but not too watery and doesn't affect my sensitive eyes. Before, I was using a Collection one which was pretty much the same kind of applicator with the pen type thing that you dip into the pot and there pretty similar but this one is a lot more pigmented which is great.

So, thats it for my Makeup Haul, sorry if I wrote too much but if you just looked at the pretty pictures thats okay. Oh and if your wondering why there such good quality, I finally got the Canon 600D in the Christmas sale FINALLY! That means better blog post picture quality and better You Tube videos (I think its the same one Zoella uses for her videos but she might have changed it now) and I absolutely love it! Also the plan is that it will either be a video of a blog post every week on a Tuesday so roughly I'm thinking 2 videos and 2 blogposts every month but because I'm at college and stuff theres no guarantee as I may be busy but I hope you can all understand.

If you follow me on Twitter @charlchattr then I will let you know when my next video or blog post is going up (my Instagram is the same username too!)

I hope you enjoyed this blogpost! Please +1 and follow media and give this a share if you want to, see you in my next one! :)

Bye!!
