Hello everyone! So for this post I am going to show you my faveourite and most healthy breakfast idea. I needed to do a Lifestyle post as all my posts so far have been about Fashion and Beauty so here is something a bit different. This breakfast idea is super healthy because it contains loads of energy and protein so it will stop you snacking through the day.
To start, I put a small handful of Granola, which is from the 'taste the difference' range at Sainsburys if anyone is interested but you can get it anywhere, and a small handful of porridge oats (also from Sainsburys) and mix it together.
The reason I mix in a few porridge oats is because Granola is actually quite sugary, so I just put half and half of each cereal to make it more healthy.
Then I put about two table spoons of 'Total Greek Yogurt' on top of the cereal. Yogurt is good for you because it contains good bacteria for your stomach and immune system and it lowers body fat. I chose this one because it's really plain and natural.
Then I just slice a banana which is great for an energy boost in the morning to kick start your blood sugar and sprinkle a large handful of almonds, which contains the healthy fats that your body needs.
I then finish by pouring some vanilla flavored soy milk which is really nice and sweet so it goes well with the banana slices. You could also use almond milk.
You don't have to, but I put this in the microwave for about 50 seconds to warm it up. Also, I don't add honey because I find it is already sweet enough from the banana and soy milk but again, you can if you want to.
I also make a nice cup of Earl Grey tea to wake me up and it's really important to drink lots of liquids throughout the day for hydration but also drinking lots of water or tea stops you being hungry through out the day.
I really like this breakfast idea because it is so healthy and sweet without being really sugary. It tastes amazing and keeps me going through the day. Breakfast is really important because you need to boost your blood sugar back up to give you lots of energy and it stops you picking at snacks throughout the day. I hope you liked this post, if you want more of this kind of thing or have any ideas for future posts then comment below.
Byee!
